Lisbeth was born and raised in a small town in Denmark. She graduated with an AA in Business and later worked for the Danish FAA. When Lisbeth turned 23, she moved to the United States of America to be with her fiancé and study English. Before moving to the U.S., Lisbeth did not speak English but was able to complete language school in only 3 months in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1992, she began college at The American College for The Applied Arts (ASID accredited) and finished her BA degree and graduated Cum Laude in Interior Design 2 ½ years later.
Lisbeth worked in retail interior design for two years before starting a family. She was very fortunate to be a stay-at-home mom for the first 8 years of her children’s lives. Lisbeth was very involved at her children’s school. She was on the mother’s board, built stage sets, sewed costumes, was a room-mom, etc. Additionally, became a proctor for the high school and substitute teacher for children enrolled from Pre-K to 3rd grade. Lisbeth has two grown children. Her daughter is very successful in the music industry in Nashville and has her own independent photography business. Her son is proudly serving our country as a United States Marine.
Returning to full time, Lisbeth did designs for a high-end Italian kitchen company. During the housing crisis the design business went into a slump and was closed. She then returned to retail with Ann Taylor for three years in direct retail and display window design. An opportunity was presented to Lisbeth to work for a Danish chief pilot responsible for five aircrafts owned by a private family. She was the office manager and maintained all the accounting for the aviation department. One of her greatest responsibilities was making sure all fuel burned was accounted for each aircraft ($5M+ per year). She also coordinated provisioning for flights, airline and hotel reservations, private car rentals, and many custom requirements for the multiple family owners.
In 2013, Lisbeth's in-laws moved to The Villages. Lisbeth and her husband Mark fell in love with the lifestyle of The Villages and left Fort Lauderdale to be closer to Mark's parents. Lisbeth has always been in some form of customer service and has a desire for helping others. Lisbeth’s background in interior design adds value not offered by all REALTORS®.
